Artist Statement
Art is a way of trying to transcend the tangible.
If there was one thing I would say that lies behind every single work I do, it would be a sense of the spiritual.
Through my work, I am constantly trying to express and understand the immaterial and spiritual while still incorporating my own personal aesthetics and emotions.
It is through the process of creating, that ironically is taking a concept and transforming it into a substance that is more accessible to the senses, that I feel helps access and explore the immaterial as well as promotes reflection.
