I am an emerging artist living and working in the Cleveland area. I originally started working heavily in ceramic sculpture and have a BFA with that concentration. However, during and after graduate school for Art Therapy I began working more in painting and photography. Currently, I work between all three.
For me, art is a way of trying to transcend the tangible. If there was one thing I would say that lies behind every single work I do, it would be a sense of the spiritual. Through my work, I am constantly trying to express and understand the immaterial and spiritual while still incorporating my own personal aesthetics and emotions. Often, I use the physical form as a as a metaphor for this sense of the spiritual and ethereal to generate further reflection and exploration.
